Summary
Plan and manage the activities of final inspection associates in one or more manufacturing areas to meet customer quality and on-time delivery requirements, adhering to the Quality Management System and all other applicable regulations and company standards.

Summary
Plan and manage the activities of final inspection associates in one or more manufacturing areas to meet customer quality and on-time delivery requirements, adhering to the Quality Management System and all other applicable regulations and company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of inspectors responsible for performing receiving, in-process, and final product inspection activities in compliance with quality standards, regulatory guidelines, and customer specifications.
- Train and mentor inspection team members on quality standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Work with production schedules to develop and implement inspection schedules and priorities, ensuring all inspection tasks are completed on time without compromising quality.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for inspection activities and implement improvements to optimize the inspection process.
- Assist Engineering to investigate the root cause of customer and/or supplier rejections and internal quality failures, disposition non-conforming parts, recommend and implement effective corrective actions as required.
- Perform in-process inspection audits, provide appropriate technical assistance to operators for inspection activities, and ensure compliance with good documentation practices.
- Lead the team to identify and implement process improvements on inspection techniques and inspection technology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, Manufacturing, Engineering, CNC Programming, and Quality to address quality issues and ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Assist in the development, revision, and implementation of Inspection Plans, Work Instructions, etc.
- Ensure a safe and compliant working environment by promoting safety standards and addressing safety concerns in the inspection areas.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects throughout the organization.
- Champion Lean manufacturing principles by encouraging lean thinking in all aspects of development and production, as well as conducting and/or coordinating training and implementation with managers and associates.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university and/or 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience in a regulated environment.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Knowledge of ISO and FDA regulations.
- Well-developed supervisory, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to work in and be challenged by a lean, team-based environment that places a high degree of emphasis on accountability for customer service, quality, and GMP compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control the activities of the assigned group.
- A willingness to be available to supervise multiple shifts and occasional overtime as required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand how to inspect to the blueprint specifications.
- General understanding of CNC machining and secondary operation processes.
- Driven, results-oriented.
- Ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
- Additional coursework in Business and Management.
- Conflict management skills.
