SUMMARY

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the activities of this team. Will ensure the team is able to meet customer requirements of quality and on-time delivery, as well as procure required material and services and provide customer support by performing the following duties.      

Collaborates with Leadership Team to:

-  Develop and implement programs or initiatives tailored to prioritized areas of focus and designed to create and sustain a high-performance culture.

-  Develop the budget for the fiscal year aligned with business objectives, including capital spending projections.

-  Monitor and evaluate company financial and operational trends and determine appropriate course of action.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage all aspects of the process, including resource planning, project timelines and establishing priorities, to ensure customer requirements and quoted standards are met.
  • Oversees, delegates, and/or coordinates all the manufacturing-related activities in the group in order to achieve customer satisfaction as well as inventory, cost reduction and profit margin goals.
  • Develops and updates capacity plans including human and equipment resources by reviewing customer production orders, sales forecasts, and engineering methods.
  • Promotes effective self-directed work teams by establishing clear objectives, providing coaching and feedback, encouraging cross-training and skill development, and evaluating key performance metrics.
  • Evaluates resources to determine performance and competency gaps, encourages appropriate paths for growth and development, and partners with HR to provide required training opportunities.
  • Promotes the continuous improvement and refinement of processes through the implementation of lean principles by supporting and encouraging Kaizen events and reinforcing successes.
  • Provides superior customer service through timely responses, collaboration, and professional communications.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises associates in one or more manufacturing cells, carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 7-10 years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. 
  •  Solid background in Project Management.
  • Experience with estimating, methodizing and supplier sourcing.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all internal levels of employees, as well as external customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to lead and supervise various levels of employees

Industry knowledge – experience in manufacturing

ISO, Lean, Six Sigma, 6S, CNC preferable
